Mantara foaming technology

Mantara - a new foaming technology

MANTARA combines and utilizes the advantages of various injection molding and foaming processes, thereby generating extreme added value for the component.

The gas-loaded melt is injected into the partially opened mold. This is followed by the embossing process, which then completely fills the cavity. This embossing force is maintained for a defined period of time, and the mold opens to a defined gap. The drop in pressure during opening triggers bubble formation throughout the core. This results in various advantages for the component and the mold.

This technology was developed in collaboration with ARBURG and Plastic Concept.
